Already tried to:

  • Switched to 2 different USB cables

  • Updated windows
  • Uninstalled the app on the phone and driver on the PC and put it back
  • No overlay option are enabled on the like Nvidia app or discord
  • Tried to run the driver app on the as administrator
  • Disabled the antivirus system and firewall

Attaching a visual reference of the issue and also the logs files

Hi @kevin-5,

Thank you for sending your logs. If you have the Smart Connect app in your phone, uninstalling it would enable spacedesk to work since the two apps are incompatible. If not, you may try connecting to a USB 2.0 port if your PC has one, or you can also try switching your phone’s USB mode from Transferring Files to Transferring Images before turning on USB Android in the spacedesk Driver console.

I have tried both type c to  type c and USB to  type c, still not connecting via USB. Every thing is turned on and alright. Reinstalled the app, turned on image transfer mode still black screen. the display is showing up in the network mode via ip but the USB mode is only giving black screen. How should I fix the USB mode

@kevin-5 did you find a solution?

Nope, I tried everything that was mentioned with no success.

Hi @kevin-5, @wasiful,

Did you encounter the black screen issue after updating to One UI 7.0? If you have an older USB 2.0 cable, you can try using to connect to spacedesk via USB as some users reported that changing the USB cables they used to older cables worked on their end.

Nedaří se mi navázat připojení k počítači přes USB, přes Wi-Fi to funguje, ale s USB kabelem ne…

Use direct connect usb to pc -> no usb hubs , no keyboard/ monitor usb.. if use usb direct .

Try usb tethering ,   samsung  most phones hw accelerated tethering (Android dev setting )

But set DNS 1.0.0.0  for phone network adapter (not working internet from phone in pc

Every time change quality(usb/wifi/tethering)  ->  restart phone app ( long press icon >  force close and  wipe cache )   PC ->  unlogin or restart for reset renders … if Ichange quality or resolution , must restart PC > duplicated  desktop .

If pc have 1920×1080 set in spacedesk custom resolution 1920×1080 .   But change restart  pc and phone app ..

tethering every restart phone new addres ->

My setting in phone and pc for direct connect IP (usb tethering)

Hi @kevin-5,

Do you have “Samsung USB Driver for Mobile Phones” installed in your pc? If you have, this particular driver conflicts with the spacedesk Android USB driver so it won’t work when the Samsung driver is installed. To make spacedesk USB work again, you need to uninstall the “Samsung USB Driver for Mobile Phones”.

Hi @kevin-5, @wasiful,

Theoretically, the higher version cable can be backward compatible with the lower version cable protocol, so why can’t the higher version cable be used?

I have been using the spacedesk for a while now but due to some reason I have installed the driver called samsung driver for Android and now I am not able to connect to spacedesk using USB ,I have uninstalled the driver but the driver is not removed completely it again downloads itself somehow even I removed everything from the device manager the drivers keep on coming back if I do scan for hardware changes I don’t know how to fix the black screen issue help me out please,

Thank you
