[SOLVED] Android USB – Black Screen

When connecting my device to my PC via USB cable, I only get a black screen and the Driver App on Windows shows 0 connections.

My device is a Galaxy Tab S3. I can access files on the tablet normally when I disable spacedesk.

I have:

  • Gone to “incompatible software products” and uninstalled those that were installed + rebooted
  • Set the Encoding in the Android App Settings to Software
  • Checked for Samsung USB Driver in my App list (it isn’t there)
  • Rebooted the tablet and PC

 

Here is the diagnostic files of me connecting the USB Cable and the black screen opening up.

Thank you for sending your logs. Upon checking them, we can still detect the Samsung USB driver in your device. Please reinstall the Samsung Android USB Driver, uninstall it, then restart your PC and try to connect again via USB. Thank you.

Sadly I still get the black screen…

Here’s what I did:

I have included the logs again.

 

Is it possible that the driver automatically installs itself when I connect my tablet or something of the sort?

Thank you for sending your logs, but there are a few files missing in them. Please make sure to run the spacedesk Driver Console as admin before following the steps below:

1. Download the DebugView.
2. Check the Diagnostic Collection box.
3. Reproduce the issue e.g. by connecting the spacedesk Viewer app.
4. Uncheck the Diagnostic Collection box.
5. Click “Save All Information” button (this might take a while to finish).
6. Compress/Zip the folder which contains the logs, then attach to your next reply to this post. If the folder exceeds 512kb, you may upload it to Dropbox or Google Drive then include the download link on your next reply.
