black screen

Quote from Brando on 15/01/2026, 06:24

Hello, I have a persistent black screen problem from the beginning until now. I initially tried using the wired method using a USB type C cable, initially it connected but 1 second later it disconnected again. I tried using the wireless method and it connected successfully, the sound appeared but the screen was completely black with no display, how do I fix it? I am using a Redmi 9, and an Acer Aspire 4741 laptop.

Hi @brando,

Your post has been split from the topic you posted on.

For further analysis of the issue, please send us the logs of your Primary PC by opening the spacedesk Driver console as administrator and clicking on Diagnostics then follow the steps below:

1. Download the DebugView.
2. Check the Diagnostic Collection box.
3. Reproduce the issue e.g. by connecting the spacedesk Viewer app.
4. Uncheck the Diagnostic Collection box.
5. Click “Save All Information” button (this might take a while to finish).
6. Compress/Zip the folder which contains the logs, then attach to your next reply to this post. If the folder exceeds 512kb, you may upload it to Dropbox or Google Drive then include the download link on your next reply.

Thank you.

Hi @brando,

Thank you for sending your logs. Unfortunately, it seems that you turned on Diagnostic Collection after connecting to the Primary PC. Can you send your logs again, this time checking the Diagnostic Collection box before connecting your Viewer to the Primary PC? Make sure that you follow the steps provided in my earlier post. Thank you.

Oh, sorry if I wasn’t thorough enough. I wanted to let you know and ask a question. My laptop’s LCD is broken, completely blurry, and I can’t see anything. I need to connect my laptop screen to my friend’s HDMI TV so I can install Spacedesk and configure it. Is it possible to use Spacedesk as a temporary screen replacement? And if I visit my friend again someday, I’ll download the log and post it here.

Thanks for your attention

Hi @brando,

If you install the spacedesk Driver Package on the laptop with the broken LCD and connect a spacedesk Viewer to it, yes, you can use it as a temporary screen replacement. We’ll wait for you to send your updated logs. Thanks.

Hi, this is the log I just downloaded. Did I do it correctly? I checked the collection box and then tried to connect to my phone. After connecting, I unchecked it and saved all the information.

Hello, is the log I sent correct? I’m waiting for your answer, thank you.

Hi @brando,

Thank you for sending your logs. For your info, we deleted your other submitted posts for approval as it was just a duplicate of this one. Upon checking your logs, we saw that your GPU drivers are outdated. Can you try to update them and try connecting again via spacedesk? Thank you.
