Can not use Windows duplicate mode with Spacedesk Virtual Display anymore
Zitat von Just am 19/02/2026, 00:07 UhrI am using Windows 11 on a new system since last week. My old system used Windows 10.
After installing spacedesk on windows 11 I cannot use the „duplicate display 1“ mode on the spacedesk display like I was able to on Windows 10. I have checked every setting in the iOS viewer, Windows driver console. Can you guys make it compatible again?
Here is a diagnostic if you need one.

Zitat von spacedesk Renz am 19/02/2026, 07:40 UhrHi @just-2,
Thank you for sending your logs. Upon checking them, we didn’t see any problems with spacedesk.
In very rare occasions, errors with the Windows Display database cause issues with screen extension and duplication, so we have a button in the spacedesk Driver Console called „Clear Windows Display Settings“ which you can click to fix any issues in the Windows Display Settings that includes the issue you’re encountering with display duplication, but be warned that clicking on it would also clear your previous settings like monitor arrangement and other settings in the Windows Display Settings.

Zitat von Just am 19/02/2026, 10:46 UhrHi,
clicking this „Clear Windows Display Settings“ button within spacedesk does not appear to have any effect.
The screen is still only available to extend via display settings.

Zitat von spacedesk Renz am 20/02/2026, 02:28 UhrHi @just-2,
This issue should not happen in your PC since its new and this issue only happens with older PCs, so there is possibly another cause of this issue in your system. Do you have any other software installed similar to spacedesk that makes a virtual screen?
Also, if you have a physical monitor you can connect, can you also check if the issue can be reproduced there? Thank you.

Zitat von Just am 20/02/2026, 05:35 UhrThe issue does not happen on my physical secondary monitor. No other virtual screen software was installed while using spacedesk, Thanks.

Zitat von spacedesk Renz am 20/02/2026, 06:04 UhrHi @just-2,
We saw in your logs a display adapter names „Virtual Display Monitor.“ Can I ask what that does or what it’s used for? Thanks.

Zitat von Just am 20/02/2026, 06:13 UhrI mis-remembered, sorry. This must be Virtual Desktop used for VR game streaming. On the old system its Virtual Display Monitor also present when using spacedesk and had no problems with duplication. Today I have tested with and without other virtual displays, and with one and two physical monitors like you have said before. Thanks
