Cannot connect iPad Pro m4 to Windows Laptop via USB-C cable
Zitat von gtdjeff am 05/12/2024, 17:54 UhrHello,
I installed iTunes on my laptop and was successful connecting my iPad via wifi connection.
I noticed the performance wasn’t great (youtube videos played on the iPad, for example, are a little stuttery).
I attempted to connect with the USB cable only. When I click the little USB icon in the circle, it says „Use USB Cable. Before connecting USB cable, enable „USB Cable iOS“ option in the spacedesk Driver Console on Windows Primary Machine.“ I just click OK and nothing happens.
What am I missing?

In the Driver console on your primary machine, click „USB Cable Driver iOS“. Then check the checkbox beside „USB Cable iOS“, wait for a few seconds, then connect your iPad to your laptop via USB. Upon opening spacedesk on your iPad, you should get a prompt that reads „spacedesk USB connection recognized Do you want to connect to primary machine server by USB?“

Zitat von gtdjeff am 06/12/2024, 14:59 UhrYes, I have USB Cable iOS checked.
When I plug in the USB-C, the iPad gives a message „Allow this device to access photos and videos?“ Should I allow that?
Also, is it possible that an antivirus is blocking the functionality on my PC? What program should I whitelist in the antivirus if so?
Thanks!

Zitat von spacedesk Renz am 09/12/2024, 04:29 UhrJust to make sure, can you check on your end if there’s this message below the USB Cable iOS checkbox? If it is there, open Task Manager and go to the Services tab to search for „Apple Mobile Device Service“, then right-click and select Start to start the process, then check again on the Driver console if the warning message is gone after starting the process. If the message is not showing on your end, try to connect your iPad to your laptop via USB then open the spacedesk app on your iPad, then you should see a prompt to connect to spacedesk via USB.
Regarding antivirus configuration, you can refer to the Documentation under the topic „Troubleshooting“ > „Network Connection“ > „Firewall Settings on Primary Machine“ for more information.
