Clam Shell
Zitat von struct2009 am 15/09/2025, 20:39 UhrI set up a video wall with 2 iPad pro’s in portrait and it works but when I clam shell the laptop the video wall screens gets squashed in size with large black bars on the left and right of the main image.
Most of the programs I run can work in extended mode whereby I can span the program over both displays with “Display Fusion” but one program I use only will span if I use the video wall set up.
iPad 1
Wall Index 0
Size 2732×2048
Position 0 , 2732
Rotation 90
iPad 2
Wall Index 0
Size 2732×2048
Position 4096 , 0
Rotation 270
videoWall
4096×2732
any idea how to make this work when clam shelling the laptop?
thanks

when you close the laptop lid, are there any other screens attached to the laptop besides the iPads or are they the only screens left? The squishing of the screen might be due to the fact that upon closing the lid, the laptop ceases to detect the built-in monitor of the laptop, affecting other monitors connected to it.

Zitat von struct2009 am 16/09/2025, 17:17 UhrNo other screens are attached when I clam shell.
I noticed in my display settings that I had mistakenly set my laptop resolution to 4096×2732. Somehow the video wall resolution got into the list of configurable laptops display settings. I changed the laptop display back to its native resolution of 1920×1080. I may have also selected “Extend these displays”. Then the problem went away.
Consider the problem solved. It looks like it had to do with the display resolution setting of the laptop.
