HTML5 viewer not working

I installed the server on Windows 11 PC, Android app works fine as secondary screen.

Then I tried HTML5 on Mac, Android phone, and Windows 11 PC, none of them worked.

we are currently investigating this issue.

As a workaround, please try to clear the browser’s cache or save the page locally e.g. in Google Chrome, use the the menu “Cast, save, and share“ then click on „Save page as…“.

Thank you, saving the page to local helped. Btw, do you have plan for native Mac client support?

we had few users that were able to install the spacedesk iOS viewer on Mac.

Have you tried to install and connect?

HTML 5 Viewer still doesn’t work for me. I can’t save files locally because I’m using an Amazon Echo Show 8 to connect.

I noticed that now I can’t even access the website through my PC browsers, I get the following error: net::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

This has been a known issue for a while now, since the old forum atleast, is there no short term plans on fixing the HTML 5 Viewer?

I tried the iOS app on Mac, it works great, and the quality is so much better than the HTML5 version.

I didn’t notice that iOS apps can be installed on Mac 🙂

I’m facing the same issue. The goal I’m trying to achieve is to create a secondary virtual display for my OBS as a secondary source or screen (in the application, not a real secondary screen). Using the HTML5 viewer was the way to go, because connecting locally wouldn’t use the upload speed from my Internet which is VERY limited (10 Mbps or roughly 1.25 MB/s upload). But one day it stopped working. I tried connecting to both my PC’s local IP (192.168.0.100) and the loopback IP (127.0.0.1). Neither worked. I always get the red screen below.

As a workaround, you can save the page locally using a browser that allows saving of webpages.

I am having the same issue as others reported back in October on the old forum.   I’ve been hoping to see a resolution by now.   I have this deployed at a customer and they have been using it successfully for well over a year, until something broke in October.   We want to have them purchase a license (if that is now available), but obviously that wont happen until the issue is resolved.

In this particular case, the device running the HTML Viewer is a Samsung QN60Q60BAFXZA TV.  It worked flawlessly until it didn’t.  Now it won’t connect to the users PC running the Windows software.

Any update would be appreciated, as they have really relied on this solution.
