Keyboard on viewer not working.
I use a laptop as a viewer.
The mouse works well, but the keyboard does not work, neither the laptop’s, nor the one connected via USB

Which viewer are you using with your laptop? If you’re using the Windows 7 viewer, make sure to enable keyboard functionality by checking the „Keyboard“ option under „Functionality“ in the menu bar. If you’re using the Windows Store viewer, upon connecting your viewer, make sure to enable keyboard functionality by clicking the keyboard icon on the top bar.

I am having the same issue, Keyboard is not working. I am using iOS viewer and windows 11 driver(both up to date).

I have an expired driver installed on a windows 10 pc and keyboard functionality still works (even though the screen is black and white.

I have tried to update the windows 11 driver with no success in using the keyboard. I have tried to enable/ disable keyboard functionality via the menu bar.

For the iOS viewer, network connected keyboard only works if you are connected with encryption turned on in the spacedesk Driver console and if you have a commercial license for the iOS viewer. You can use the on-screen keyboard if you are connected to the driver PC via USB.

Is this a new update/ restriction? As it has worked for me with no issues for almost year prior to this?

Also if that is the case, why does it still work on my windows10 pc??

Please clarify, and let me know what i can do to restore this function. Thanks in advance

Yes, for the latest versions of the Driver and the iOS viewer, network connected keyboard is only available for users with a commercial license. For a complete list of the current functions and on which license it is limited, please refer to the Viewer Platforms and Features page of our Documentation.

Please see the attached images from your website displaying promotional material that states these features should work. Please review and advise.

If this is a change can you please provide some clarification why this change has taken place as it has reduced the functionality of your product. Thanks

Thank you very much for reporting. Your observations are correct. We have meanwhile fixed the mistake on our website.

Keyboard over network is not available any more in the free spacedesk version. This feature could be security and privacy relevant in some circumstances. We decided to reduce probability of misuse by reducing its availability to our business customers only.

The same reason does not apply to remote keyboard over USB. This is why remote Keyboard over USB is still available in free version of spacedesk.

I am having the other issue that your app cannot receive the input of “option” on iPad Pro’s (M4 chips) Magic Keyboard right? After numerous updates finally my keyboard could run properly inputting content into the computer. Thank God and thank you.
