Not connecting

IP address not connecting any help or suggestions. Using dell laptop and apple ipad I used the iPad Ip for iPad and laptop ip address it says invalid ip address

Is your Primary PC (Dell laptop) and viewer device (iPad) connected to the same network? For more information, please refer to the Documentation, in the section „Cannot Discover Primary Machine“ to troubleshoot your issue. Thank you.
