Pen button input

I recently discovered this application and am highly impressed with its functionality. My objective was to utilize my tablet for drawing on my PC, and this application fulfills that requirement flawlessly. Pen pressure and driver support are exceptional, resulting in minimal latency when using a wired connection; the experience closely mirrors that of a Wacom tablet.

However, I am experiencing an issue with the inability to utilize my tablet’s S Pen button (Samsung Tab S8 Ultra, S Pen). I anticipated it would function as a mouse 2 button, consistent with other drawing tablets. Given the pen’s battery-free operation and accurate pressure sensitivity, the lack of button input is unexpected. After thorough investigation, I believe SpaceDesk is either not processing or blocking the pen button input. Since the pen is recognized as a SpaceDesk mouse, I suspect that mapping the mouse 2 input might be feasible.

I would appreciate the addition of this functionality, or if this capability already exists but is malfunctioning, I would welcome troubleshooting guidance.

My strong preference for this feature stems from the fact that in animation software, the right mouse button is integral to core functionalities. This is critical; for instance, in Photoshop, it accesses the brush list, and in TVPaint, the Alt + right mouse button combination controls zoom in and out

Hello,

Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

Check SpaceDesk Settings: Ensure that all settings related to pen input are correctly configured. Sometimes, there might be an option to enable or map the pen button input.

Update Drivers: Make sure that both your tablet and PC have the latest drivers installed. This can sometimes resolve compatibility issues Subway BOGO Code

Alternative Software: If the issue persists, you might want to explore other software options that support pen input more effectively.

I hope this helps!

Hi there. Thanks for the suggestion. After a little searching on the web, I found an alternative app called SuperDisplay, which handles pen pressure and the pen button input function like a champ. In addition, SuperDisplay is more stable and well-optimized, with much lower latency and higher-quality images. The only difference from Spacedesk is that it’s a paid app, $15 for a one-time purchase. But every penny was worth it; I’m glad I found it.
