Saving/permanent settings and a few minor responsiveness issues

Hey there,

connecting to Win10 with an iPad 6 through Spacedesk 2.2.04, everything working great so far concerning functionality, life saver for video editing on a Laptop.

Due to constant network issues (connection loss, probably my router’s fault) I’ve permanently switched to USB cable, but I have to re-enable „iOS USB ON“ every time I start up. Is it possible to save those settings?

Also I found the driver console to freeze up frequently, sometimes for minutes, when I try to use the functions on the left, like diagnostics, or the scroll bar. This doesn’t hinder the screen extension functionality though, so no hassle.

I’ve also purchased a license a couple of months ago, yet the driver desk keeps reminding me my free version is running out Dec. 25, but I guess that’ll go away once it runs out.

Hi @markus-4,

the settings in the spacedesk Driver Console should persist after reboot.
I could not reproduce your issue. Maybe on your side, it becomes unavailable when iTunes or Apple Mobile Device process is not running?

As for the purchased license, it only reflects on the viewer side.
After the expiry (2025) on the driver side, there should not be any issues and you should still be able to use spacedesk.

Hi Nicole,

I found out what really happens – the driver says „iOs USB on“ on the left of the console, and when I click there, the driver apparently hasn’t yet established connection, thus claims it’s off on the right side. After a while, it also turns to „on“ on the right side of the screen. Right now, everything worked flawlessly.

Thanks!
