[SOLVED] Scaling and Resolution Issues on Samsung Tab A8 (as extended display)

Hi,

I am writing to seek assistance regarding an issue I’m encountering while using my Samsung Tab A8 as an extended display for my laptop.

While spacedesk functions well in extending my desktop, I’ve noticed that the icons, text, and overall user interface elements on the Samsung Tab A8 display appear exceptionally small, making them difficult to read and interact with. My question are as follows:

1. Scaling Adjustment: Is there a specific setting within spacedesk, or a recommended method within Windows, that allows for independent scaling adjustments for the extended display, specifically to make icons and characters appear larger on my tab?
2. Resolution Reduction: If direct scaling is not feasible, is it possible to reduce the resolution of the extended display specifically to the Samsung Tab A8 through spacedesk settings or Windows display settings, without affecting the primary laptop display? My hope is that a lower resolution would result in larger UI elements on the tablet.

Hi @zawawi,

you can do either of the following two options:

Change the Scale (100%, 125%, etc.) via the Windows Display settings (right click on Desktop to open), OR
Enable a custom resolution in the Android viewer app (Settings -> Resolution). Upon connect, select the custom resolution via the Windows Display settings.
