Screen goes black on all screens when connecting 2nd monitor via HTML5

Hi my spacedesk server is running Driver 2.1.45 on windows 10.  Client is running latest Windows 10 with latest version of viewer as of this post.

I am able to connect two instances of viewer via the same computer using the client software in order to extend two monitors and it works great.

However, when trying to use the HTML5 browser version on the client, I can only get a single extra monitor connected.  The second I open up a 2nd browser and hit connect, all screens go black including the main computer running the driver.  Only a force restart gives me my screens black.

How come the client isn’t able to connect the 2nd monitor?

Hi @oe,

The HTML5 viewer only supports one connection per server.

It looks like the HTML5 version of spacedesk doesn’t fully support multiple monitors the way the Windows client does. Trying to connect a second browser session causes a crash, likely because of system resource limits or driver issues.

Hi @oe,

The HTML5 viewer only supports one connection per server.

thanks! any future possibility of increasing that that or is it a major effort?  at the very least, it would be nice if it refused the 2nd connection or disconnect the first instead of crashing the server itself.

Hi @oe,

Currently, there are no plans to increase the connections that the HTML5 viewer can do.

thanks.  final question is – is there any way to make the html5 client resolution higher than the single display it’s on?  in other words, let’s say i have two 1080p screens, can i make the resolution 3840 and span  both screens?

hi, how did you manage to get de html5 viewer working? I’m always getting a timeout error
