Screen not turning off when idle
Zitat von Hakim567 am 04/11/2024, 19:22 UhrHey guys, really appreciate the work that’s done on this app it works amazing. I wanted to ask I usually leave my PC lying around with no sleep and after idle usually the screens turn off but the spacedesk screen doesn’t really turn off is this intended? I know it turns off when your PC goes to sleep. Please advise thanks!

Zitat von Hakim567 am 05/11/2024, 08:45 UhrI am using spacedesk driver win 10 64 v2126 and connecting with USB, I’ve attached a picture to show how it looks, strangely enough when I plug it in while the screen is off it is a black screen is something like blocking the connection or something? cause I’m tethering from the tablet aswell unless it’s intended to do this

Zitat von Sergio am 09/11/2024, 18:23 UhrHello, I just wanted to share some information. Indeed, spacedesk (2.1.18) does not go into sleep mode; from what I’ve tested, it only happens when connected via USB, not over Wi-Fi. I would appreciate it if you could address this since the tablet I use is OLED and risks screen burn-in if I forget to turn it off. Other than that, everything works very well. I just wanted to ask which type-C cable you recommend for the connection, as I notice a bit of lag when I increase the resolution to 2K. What is the maximum transmission speed that spacedesk supports?

Zitat von spacedesk Renz am 11/11/2024, 11:16 UhrHi @sergio,
Regarding USB transmission speed, we cannot answer that since we’re not experts on USB, but if you want to get better performance in your viewer, you may check the Documentation under the section „Performance Tuning“ here and try to follow the steps there to improve your viewer’s performance.

Zitat von Sergio am 22/01/2025, 18:20 UhrHello, I have a question. The „spacedesk_driver_Win_10_64_v2134“ does not go into screen sleep mode. From what I’ve tested, this only happens when connected via USB, not through Wi-Fi (which does enter sleep mode).
This has been happening since the first time I installed it (v2126), and it hasn’t been fixed in the current version either.
Is there a solution?
I would appreciate it if you could help me resolve this issue since the tablet I use is OLED, and there’s a risk of screen burn-in if I forget to turn it off. Other than that, everything works great, especially now that more than 60 Hz can be selected.

Zitat von spacetable am 24/04/2025, 15:59 UhrYep, still seeing that screen-won’t-turn-off when idle thing on my Tab S4 (Android 10) with Windows 11 too. Tried both USB-A and USB-C straight up with direct connection, no luck.
