Windows Crashing into BSOD after attempt to connect
Zitat von Hyped1XGeek am 14/06/2025, 18:32 UhrI have 2 laptops connected via LAN. They have predefined IP address. Both laptops can ping each other so network is ok. When Client tries to connect to server, client gets glitched display and server laptops goes into BSOD. The error message is different various times but always related to driver

This drive contains the dump and debug files while having the problem. Would really appreciate some help
Thanks in advance

Zitat von Hyped1XGeek am 15/06/2025, 11:33 UhrI would also like to mention that the LAN address by which 2 laptops are connected is also not shown in console

This is an issue with the Windows network stack, potentially a problem of the network adapter driver. How are the two devices connected, via wired ethernet or by USB cable ethernet? Can you tell us what network adapter you’re using? Are there any issues with it? And are there any pending updates for it?

I am using a RJ45 CAT cable Laptop to Laptop. I have configured there IP address from Network settings in control Panel. Both the laptops are using Realtek PCle GbE Family Controller. There are no pending updates I know of however, G-Helper (what I use to control my laptop instead of Armoury crate from OEM) has this network update (attached file) from a long time. I tried downloading the update and install it but it still shows that I need to update. Other than that, I had no issue with it .
However, I am not facing the BSOD issue for now. This happened a while ago too. I was getting the same issue of BSOD and glitching screen but after some time, idk how it started working again. Now I have another problem after working for few hours. Now the viewer screen is giving nothing but black screen.
I would really like to know what is causing occasional BSOD issue and how to fix black screen for now

Zitat von Hyped1XGeek am 17/06/2025, 20:10 UhrHey @spacedesk-renz,
A quick update. I tried resting the settings and then set it to what I had before and it’s working again. Its odd that I have to set image quality to exact 40 to make it work. idk why.
But I would still like to know about that BSOD reason

Zitat von spacedesk Renz am 19/06/2025, 11:05 UhrHi @hyped1xgeek,
Again, the BSOD is coming from your network environment (TCP/IP). This can have various reasons: Broken network hardware or buggy firewall software just to name two examples. In any case it is out of our reach.
We can only assume that spacedesk Image Quality 40 just generates the right amount of network traffic for not running into the above named BSOD problem.

Zitat von Hyped1XGeek am 19/06/2025, 18:06 UhrHi @spacedesk-renz
Alright I will get a new CAT 5 cable and will check drivers of network card.
I would like to clear it that exceeding Image quality 40 doesn’t run into BSOD, it just freezes the viewer display but allows to disconnect.
Thanks for your support!
