Android cannot detect primary machine
Quote from arlambert on 19/03/2025, 17:11Everything was working fine until I switched my browser from Chrome to Duckduckgo, and now my tablet cannot detect my primary machine. I’ve added spacedesk to the exception to my firewall. I’ve pinged my tablet and they are communicating. I’ve manually entered the IP address of my primary PC. PC connected via ethernet. I do not believe I have a vpn. I do not have the necessary usb cables to connect that way. I’ve updated to the latest software. Please help. Hopefully I have correctly attached the diagnostic information. Thank you.

Thank you for sending your logs. We saw in the logs that you still have the spacedesk Display Auxiliary installed on your device. While this is not the cause of the discovery issue you’re encountering, just to prevent more issues from arising, please uninstall it by following the steps below:
1. Right-click on the Windows button on the taskbar then open Device Manager from the menu.
2. Left-click the arrow on the left side of “Display Adapters” to display all devices under it.
3. Right-click on “spacedesk Display Auxiliary” then click “Uninstall device”
4. On the pop-up that opens, make sure to check “Delete the driver software for this device” then click on Uninstall.Images for each step are attached to this post for your convenience.
Also, please make sure that the spacedesk Android viewer installed on your viewer device is up to date.

Just to confirm, on your tablet in the spacedesk “Connect to Primary Machine (Server)” screen, the checkbox on the bottom right with the label “LAN/Wifi” is checked, right?

From your logs, we cannot see any reason why your viewer cannot detect your primary machine. Is it possible on your end to test another Android device to see if it can detect your primary machine? Thank you.
