Cannot find audio for remote audio
Quote from spacedesk Renz on 17/02/2025, 03:19Hi @yrbwrld,
To enable Audio from your driver PC to the viewer in the spacedesk Windows Viewer, go to Settings > Audio to enable Audio output from your driver PC to the viewer PC. Upon connecting, click the speaker icon on the top right window of the viewer to use your viewer as an audio output of your driver PC.

Quote from Magnus Wester on 26/03/2025, 11:02I got this to work when the viewer was running in an amd64 PC and the server was an arm64 PC. It’s a useful little feature even if you’re not using virtual screens, making it simple to share a speaker setup between multiple PCs.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it work the other way,. Should I expect the viewer to support remote audio also when it is running in an arm64 PC?

What arm64 device do you have on your end? In our Surface Pro X, spacedesk Viewer’s audio feature works properly.

Please let me know what I can do.
This is not urgent for me.

Before proceeding, what specific viewer are you using on Windows, the Legacy Windows 7 viewer or the Windows Store viewer? Please make sure that you have the latest viewer installed on your machine.
Can you check this for me: when you connect to a server with the Surface Pro X as your viewer and enable Audio in the viewer, go to your server PC and click on the speaker icon, then click on the icon beside the volume bar, then under “Output device”, check if “Speakers (spacedesk virtual Speaker)” is on the list? Also, can you right-click the Windows Menu on the taskbar, click on Device Manager, then under Audio inputs and outputs, check if “Speakers (spacedesk virtual Speaker)” is there too?
Thank you!

Quote from Magnus Wester on 02/04/2025, 16:55Hello,Let’s begin with the Viewer version, it is from the Windows Store, your download page https://www.spacedesk.net/download/#client-driver has a link for it where it refers to the current version as v1.0.34.0 (screenshot) but the version it currently installs actually calls itself 0.0.36.0.—–While following your instructions, I found the problem. In my office, these two laptops are connected to the same speakers through a mixer. My intention is to use the virtual speaker setup when travelling. To avoid confusion, I had muted the sound on the Server, so that the sound would only be sent to the mixer from the client. I didn’t understand that this would defeat your implementation, by muting the virtual speaker instead.Sorry for wasting your time! It worked fine all the time.Magnus
