Change display settings during a Spacedesk session with Windows 11 pro 25H2
Quote from HS on 12/11/2025, 11:03Is it possible under Windows 11 25H2 for a Spacedesk remote session to always start as a “Duplicate Display”?
Alternatively, is there a way during a Spacedesk remote session to select the first display (main display) of the Windows 11 PC?

For your first question, yes, by setting the spacedesk Viewer screen to duplicate the main display in the Display Settings.
For your second question, yes, also by choosing which display you want to be the main display in the Display Settings. If you wish, you can also set the spacedesk Viewer screen as your main display.

thank you for the reply.
Just to understand: Does this mean that the settings generally need to be made before a Spacedesk session (Viewer)? How does it work if the remote PC is in a different location and a Spacedesk session needs to be started?

You configure this when your viewer is connected to your Primary PC, in the Display Settings of the Primary PC. For the second question, the spacedesk Viewer can only connect via LAN (for the Windows Viewer) or USB (for the Android and iOS viewers). If the Primary PC and the Viewer device is not connected by either connection type, you cannot establish a connection via spacedesk.
