Google Pixel will not recognise my Windows 11 Laptop
Quote from brymaybee on 13/03/2025, 05:22I have installed the 64-bit PC Driver on my windows laptop, and the Android Viewer on my Google Pixel Tablet. However, the Tablet does not recognise the computer. I have tried via wifi on 2 different networks, and using the USB for Android connection option. All are the same. The driver appears to be running fine on the PC, and the viewer on the tablet just continues to search for a machine.
Is there a setting that needs to be turned off to allow the connection?

For network connection, make sure that both the Driver and the Viewer devices are on the same network since spacedesk only works in the Local Network, not via the Internet. For USB connection, make sure to turn on “USB Cable Driver Android” before connecting the viewer device to the Driver device. If the Viewer still cannot detect the Driver, please make sure that “spacedeskService.exe” is allowed through your laptop’s firewalls if it has any.

Quote from brymaybee on 13/03/2025, 10:52Yes, I have done all of that, but it still will not recognise my laptop. It is working fine recognising my Microsoft Surface go running Windows 10 (64 bit), but does not recognise my HP Elitebook running Windows 11.
Is there anything that may be running in the background with Windows 11 that may be blocking the recognition? I have already tried uninstalling the PC Driver and re-installing it.

For further analysis of the issue, please send us the logs of your server machine by opening the spacedesk Driver console as administrator and clicking on Diagnostics then follow the steps below:
1. Download the DebugView.
2. Check the Diagnostic Collection box.
3. Reproduce the issue.
4. Uncheck the Diagnostic Collection box.
5. Click “Save All Information” button (this might take a while to finish).
6. Compress/Zip the folder which contains the logs, then attach to your next reply to this post. If the folder exceeds 512kb, you may upload it to Dropbox or Google Drive then include the download link on your next reply.Thank you.

Thank you for sending your logs.
Can you try setting your network to private and see if that would enable you to detect your server? And also, we saw from the logs that your Android USB is turned off. If you want to connect your phone via USB, you need to turn this setting on first before connecting.

Quote from brymaybee on 08/09/2025, 05:11Hello, I have been having difficulty again connecting my Google Pixel Tablet to my laptop using spacedesk via Wifi, so am trying to use the USB connection instead.
Unfortunately, it is not allowing me to connect through this method. I have followed the instructions, and have tried all of the suggestions (i.e. unplugging cable and plugging back in, restarting tablet, restarting laptop). I have the “USB Cable Android” option turned on in the driver, and the other two options (“Local Area Network” and “USB Cable iOS”) turned off. When I click on the USB connection icon on the tablet, the following message comes up:
Before connecting USB cable, enable “USB Cable Android” option in spacedesk Driver Console on Windows Primary Machine.
I have done this and it still does not work.
Regards, Bryan
