multi screen client viewer

I hope someone can help.

I am running spacedesk viewer on a laptop that also has 2 additional screens via a startech usb-c to 2 port hdmi hub.

When I run the client viewer spacedesk only shows on the main laptop screen and is not taking control of the additional 2 screens as well.

Is this a limitation of spacedesk or am I doing something wrong

Just to clarify, can you describe your Primary PC setup (where the spacedesk Driver Package is installed) and your viewer machine setup (where your spacedesk Viewer is installed)? Thank you.

Thank you for your reply. The server is run on an ACER NITRO 5.

The client is running on a dell 5490

They are connected together via LAN

I have a startech USB C to 2 port HDMI adapter on the dell 5490.

I am wanting to utilise the 2 extra HDMI screens as well as the laptop screen on the 5490. Spacedesk only seems to come on the main laptop screen and not take control of the additional screens. They still show the 5490 desktop not the ACER desktop and no access to them from the ACER

Do you have monitors connected to the 2 HDMI ports on your viewer?

Yes. I have 2 x 12″ generic screens connected to the viewer giving me a total of 3 screens on the viewer 2 external and the laptop screen The only screen that is showing the spacedesk server screen is the main laptop screen The 2 external screens are still showing the Del screen wallpaper and are not under control of the server

Hi @kevin-7,

Got it. And you want to duplicate your Dell’s laptop screen to your external monitors? If so, what you can do is to press the Windows Button + P on your keyboard, then on the “Project” window that would pop up, click on “Duplicate.” This should duplicate your main screen on your additional screens.

Thanks for the reply. I don’t want to project that screen onto the 2 additional screens I want them as extended screens . I will have a play and see what I can do .

Hi @kevin-7,

I see, you want to use your external screens as extended screens of your Primary PC. In that case, you can open another instance of the spacedesk Viewer and connect to the same Primary PC, then drag the viewer window to the respective external monitor.
