Spacedesk doesn't reconnect when waking up from sleep

I’m having the same issue. I have the 2.1 version installer package, which worked fine before. Recently, my Android tablet showed it as grayed out, prompting me to upgrade to the latest driver—that’s when this problem started.

We split your comment from the post you commented on. For further analysis of the issue, please send us the logs of your Primary PC by opening the spacedesk Driver console as administrator and clicking on Diagnostics then follow the steps below:

1. Download the DebugView.
2. Check the Diagnostic Collection box.
3. Reproduce the issue e.g. by connecting the spacedesk Viewer app.
4. Uncheck the Diagnostic Collection box.
5. Click “Save All Information” button (this might take a while to finish).
6. Compress/Zip the folder which contains the logs, then attach to your next reply to this post. If the folder exceeds 512kb, you may upload it to Dropbox or Google Drive then include the download link on your next reply.

Hello, I just noticed this post today. Following the instructions, I’ve recorded the logs for your review.

My situation is as follows:

I’m using a Windows 11 computer and an Android tablet as an extended display (meaning I have two screens extended). The computer can resume the connection normally from sleep mode, but the Android device cannot (it shows “Connected – Display OFF”). The Android end requires restarting the Viewer to reconnect.

Currently, the Spacedesk driver version in use is 2.2.17.

Unfortunately, the “Debugview.log” file in the logs you sent is empty. Can you try the steps again, this time making sure that the issue is reproduced before unchecking the Diagnostic Collection box? Also, please try to reproduce the issue only with the Android viewer connected. Thank you.

There may be no errors because none were reported. Spacedesk displays a pop-up saying “1 Connection(s) pending…” and then stops responding. I can’t wait indefinitely, so I always manually exit the app on the tablet and restart it.

Are you connecting via USB? If so, is there a prompt to allow USB connection in the viewer device?

Yes, I connected via USB. When the issue occurred, no USB connection prompt appeared. I believe the USB connection is stable, so I don’t need to unplug and replug the USB. Simply restarting the viewer should re-establish the connection.

Can you do the following steps below in your Primary PC:

  1. Open Command Prompt
  2. Type “powercfg /a”
  3. Screenshot the Command Prompt window and attach it to your next reply.

In fact, I configured my computer to stay awake rather than hibernate. The issue occurs when I wake the screen after locking and dimming it.

Thanks for sending the screenshot. Does your main monitor turn off upon locking the screen?

My computer is a laptop. After locking the screen, the display turns off after a period of time.
