White pull down bar at top of screen
Quote from Manny on 20/02/2026, 09:43On the device in which I initiate the viewer, I see a white bar (which looks like it’s for pulling down) appear at the top of the screen momentarily. It disappears and reappears at certain intervals. Furthermore, the mouse cursor on this device is NOT hidden, therefore, I see 2 cursors (one for this device, and one from the other device). Also, the cursor on the viewer device (that is NOT hidden) is always at the top, where this annoying white pull down bar momentarily appears.
This has been an issue for years and I have worked around it by using Windows Cast. Due to Windows Cast poor performance, I’ve gone back to SpaceDesk. This issue occurs in FullScreen mode and not Windowed Mode. I don’t want instructions on try this setting or try that setting. I would like to know exactly what this problem is.
Thanks in advance.

Hi @manny,
What viewer are you using?
Quote from Manny on 20/02/2026, 10:21I am using the latest viewer from the Microsoft Store. The server is also the latest version. As I mentioned, this has been an issue for years.
A screen recording can be downloaded here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1r33hxTtHS0zhItOtpwft12MQa0763asT/view?usp=drivesdk

The white bar that appears on top of the screen only appears when you put the viewer PC’s mouse pointer on the top of your screen when your Viewer’s on full screen. Clicking on it would show the navigation bar with the minimize, restore, and close buttons. If you want the mouse pointer to not be visible on your Viewer PC’s screen, you can just drag it to the right side of the screen. Does your Viewer PC’s mouse pointer move automatically to the top of your screen?

The green bar is persistent until I tap the screen.

Quote from Manny on 20/02/2026, 10:41The Viewer’s PC mouse is always at the top of the screen, even though I try to place it elsewhere. I never clicked anything, it just appears and that big white cursor (which I believe should be hidden) is constantly at the top of the screen and centred horizontally. When that white bar appears, it disappears too quickly for me to take action. That mouse pointer is always in that same position, no matter where I had placed it previously. You will see when you download the video.I am now not seeing the white bar and seeing the green menu. I’ve never seen this happen before, as it’s always been the white bar.Quote from spacedesk Renz on 20/02/2026, 10:36Hi @manny,

Yes the mouse pointer of the viewer machine was at the bottom – I made sure of it. I then open the viewer, make the connection and the big white mouse pointer of the viewer is at the top. It stays there and with regular intervals, a small white bar appears at the mouse pointer, and it disappears soon. This cycle continued but now the behaviour has changed. Rather than the short white bar, I now see the long green bar magically appear at the mouse pointer and it’s persistent, until I touch the screen of the the viewer.
I mentioned earlier that I see this in fullscreen but not windowed mode. Actually, I now see it in Windowed Mode too, which rules out ghost touches from touchscreen hardware.
Please take a look at the video and you can see clearly what’s happening. I can’t use Windows Cast because it’s appallingly bad due to using UDP and others that I have tried are too restrictive unless a subscription is paid.
