Android USB Connection Issues

There are currently 3 potential problems with spacedesk Android USB Connection.

1. Samsung’s Windows driver named “Samsung USB Driver for Mobile Phones” is forcibly uninstalling spacedesk driver named “spacedesk USB Cable Android”.
Solution for Windows PC:
– Uninstall above named Samsung Driver.
– Reinstall spacedesk Driver
(previously destroyed by Samsung).
– Reboot Windows PC

2. Microsoft Windows prefers Samsung SSUD Bus Driver named “SAMSUNG Mobile USB Composite Device” instead of our  driver named “spacedesk USB Cable Android”.
Solution for Windows PC:
– While Android USB cable is connected,
manually update above named
Samsung Driver  to above named spacedesk Driver in Windows Device Manager.

3. Update to newest versions of spacedesk App on Android and Windows PC. This contains some Bugfixes for Android USB Connection.

4. Switch the “Encoding Type” setting to “Software Encoding MJPEG (forced).” If this works on your end, please inform us by making a post in the forum.

If you have tried the suggested fixes for the issues mentioned above but the USB connection issue still persists on your end, please open a new thread andsend us the logs of your Primary PC by opening the spacedesk Driver console as administrator and clicking on Diagnostics then follow the steps below:

1. Download the DebugView.
2. Check the Diagnostic Collection box.
3. Reproduce the issue e.g. by connecting the spacedesk Viewer app.
4. Uncheck the Diagnostic Collection box.
5. Click “Save All Information” button (this might take a while to finish).
6. Compress/Zip the folder which contains the logs, then attach to your next reply to this post. If the folder exceeds 512kb, you may upload it to Dropbox or Google Drive then include the download link on your next reply.

Thank you.
