have you tried to switch to Software Encoding MJPEG (forced) in the Android viewer app?
Does it work? For further analysis of the issue, please send us the logs of your Windows Primary PC by
opening the spacedesk Driver Console as administrator and
clicking on Diagnostics then
follow the steps below:1. Download the DebugView.
2. Check the Diagnostic Collection box.
3. Reproduce the issue e.g. by connecting the spacedesk Viewer app via USB.
4. Uncheck the Diagnostic Collection box.
5. Click “Save All Information” button (this might take a while to finish).
6. Compress/Zip the folder which contains the logs, then attach to your next reply to this post. If the folder exceeds 512kb, you may upload it to Dropbox or Google Drive then include the download link on your next reply.Thank you.

Software Encoding outputs a picture, unfortunately the FPS are very low and even on lower quality it is not very usable for me. I also tried enforcing the GPU rendering for 2D- canvases and the GPU rendering algorithm from OpenGL to OpenGL Skia within the Android developer options did not help resolving this issue.
I did the diagnostic process and uploaded the zip down below.

Thank you for sending the diagnostics.
Some resolutions do not work with the Android device’s hardware decoding. Could you please select a custom resolution in the spacedesk Android viewer app settings and try again?

Quote from justauser111 on 14/07/2026, 15:31I significantly reduce the device resolution, no output. Then resolution and all other quality settings. Still no output whatsoever.
All the years I used spacedesk without a problem with the same settings and connection method. This is not a device problem. I highly suspect something that got introduced in version 2.2.23 of the spacedesk driver is causing issues. A way to download older versions of the driver would be appreciated but there is no way to officially get them.
