Windows 11 LTSC

Hi. I just updated my laptop from Windows 10 LTSC 21H2 to Windows 11 LTSC 24H2. Previously, I can use screen mirroring via spacedesk on my iPad. But after moving to Windows 11 LTSC 24h2, when I try to mirror on my iPad, it just stuck on the validating IP address window. I am using Windows Defender as my antivirus/antimalware. Thanks!

Hi @paul317,

For further analysis of the issue, please send us the logs of your Primary PC by opening the spacedesk Driver console as administrator and clicking on Diagnostics then follow the steps below:

1. Download the DebugView.
2. Check the Diagnostic Collection box.
3. Reproduce the issue e.g. by connecting the spacedesk Viewer app.
4. Uncheck the Diagnostic Collection box.
5. Click “Save All Information” button (this might take a while to finish).
6. Compress/Zip the folder which contains the logs, then attach to your next reply to this post. If the folder exceeds 512kb, you may upload it to Dropbox or Google Drive then include the download link on your next reply.

Thank you.

Hi, here’s the requested logs.

Let me know if any issue encountered when downloading. Thank you.

Hi @paul317,

Thank you for sending your logs. We’ll update you once we have reviewed it.

Just to clarify, you can connect your viewer to your PC, just not duplicate your main display? Or you also can’t connect?

Thanks.

Hi @paul317,

Upon checking your logs, we would suggest two things to try and fix your issue:
1. Check if your network adapter driver has an update.
2. Change your network profile to Private.

Hi Renz,

I have changed the network profile to Private but still the same issue.
My laptop’s network adapter driver is up-to-date.

Hi @paul317,

Please try the suggestions detailed in the Documentation in the section Troubleshooting > Network Connection > Cannot discover Primary Machine to see if these can help. Also, can you try pinging your PC from your iPad? Please refer to the steps below:

1. Open the App Store and search “Ping – network utility”, then download it from the App Store.
2. Open Ping – network utility on your iPad.
3. On the textbox on the top of the screen, type in your Primary Machine’s IP address. You may refer to the spacedesk Driver Console under Communication Interfaces > LAN Network Adapters to check your IP Address.
4. Tap the Ping button. When prompted, tap “Allow”
5. Refer to the attached image to this post to compare your results with the image.

If your result is similar to the attached image below, please let us know so we can confirm if your iPad can detect your PC with your network. Thank you.

Hi,

Ping test from iPad to my laptop is RTO.  See attached photo.

Is there any specific file that I need to put on the exclusion list for MS defender?

Hi @paul317,

From this, we can see that your iPad is not seeing your PC on the network. This is not caused by spacedesk but it reflects your local network, so exempting any spacedesk file in Microsoft Defender will not help.
