Hi @cmkadxuwz,

Can you describe exactly what issue you encountered? Thank you.

Hi @cmkadxuwz,

Thank you for sending your logs. If you have any more pending system updates, please complete the updates. Also, can you try reinstalling the spacedesk Driver package and the spacedesk Android app on your device and see if that solves the issue? Thank you.

I found I can’t use the wired connection. But everything is fine of the wireless connection. After I use wired connection, the software in my tab will become black and nothing happen. Thank you for your reminder, and I try restart, re-install the software both side in computer and my tab, but I still can’t use the wired connection.

Hi @cmkadxuwz,

Can you try the following steps to see if it works?
1. Turn off USB Cable Android in the spacedesk Driver console.
2. Connect viewer device to Primary PC (where spacedesk Driver is installed).
3. Upon connection to Primary PC, go to “USB Settings” or equivalent in your device
4. Set USB mode to “PTP”/”Transferring images”
5. Turn on
USB Cable Android in the spacedesk Driver console.

Dear Developers, hello, after I tried all your steps, I am sorry to say that it is still not work.

I seached and debuged with ChatGPT, and it told me that it might because  the new One UI 7.0 one Tab S8+ makes it unable to be recognized. So could you please check the data I previously uploaded to find the device compatibility? Perhaps you need to add this device to the driver with a software update. Thank you for your help. ( The wired connection suddenly not work after I upgrade to One UI 7.0, and it worked perfectly before the update)

Hi @cmkadxuwz,

Can you also try the following:
1. Disconnect viewer from server
2. In spacedesk Driver console, click on „Clear Windows Display Settings“
3. Also in the Driver console, turn on USB Cable Android.
4. Connect viewer via USB.

@spacedesk-renz

Hi, I have exactly the same issue. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ and have been using this tablet as my secondary monitor for 2+ years without a single issue.

My tablet had a new OneUI update today, and I did the update.

And I’m having exactly the same problem.

To be precise, the USB wired connection fails to work.

The wireless local area network works fine.

(It’s just I was never a fan of wireless connectivity as wired connectivity is always more reliable)

I’ve read all the instructions you mentioned above, tried them all, and nothing worked.

  1. The USB connection mode is set to ‚Transferring Images‘
  2. The USB debug is ON on my galaxy tablet
  3. When I connect the tablet to my PC via USB cable, the tablet screen goes black and then comes back to the Spacedesk Viewer screen within a second with this message; usb session connection lost.
  4. And then it repeats that over and over until I disconnect the usb cable.

I’m on Windows 11 Home 24H2.

When Windows 11 connects to a new display, the whole screen kinda zooms out a bit and then goes back, and then the new screen shows up on the new display device.

That’s what happens whenever I connect my pc to a new display (not only spacedesk, all the external monitors)

That is supposed to happen when I connect my pc to the Spacedesk (And it always did before the OneUI 7 update)

That zoomed-out-screen-effect isn’t there now.
It looks like my tablet is now rejecting the Spacedesk input signal

Additional info here

When the Spacedesk Viewer is trying to connect(black screen repeat), my wireless usb mouse stops working too.

My mouse is wirelessly connected to a USB Type-A dongle on my pc.

I suspect the new OneUI 7 is blocking all the „unusual“ usb input connections.
(just my thought)

I really hope you can help us out.

If you need more information I’d love to provide any log files, screenshots, video recordings, whatsoever.

If this can’t be fixed I’d have to move on to other software/app to keep my tablet as a secondary monitor.

Cuase it’s important to me 🙁

Hi @raymond,

Please reinstall the spacedesk Android viewer app and let us know if the popup window „Open spacedesk to handle USB (spacedesk)“ shows upon connecting the cable to the Windows machine.
Also, check if the Android USB accessory mode is set to FTP (file transfer) or PTP (photo/images).

For further analysis, open the spacedesk Driver Console as Administrator and click on Diagnostics, then follow the steps below:

1. Download DebugView.
2. Check the Diagnostic Collection box.
3. Reproduce the issue e.g. by connecting the spacedesk Viewer app.
4. Uncheck the Diagnostic Collection box.
5. Click “Save All Information” button (this might take a while to finish).
6. Compress/Zip the folder which contains the logs, then attach to your next reply to this post. If the folder exceeds 512kb, you may upload it to Dropbox or Google Drive then include the download link on your next reply.

Thank you.

Thanks
