Non-working USB connection on Samsung Tab after One UI 7.0 update

Hi, thanks for your comment.I have followed your instructions. There was no popup window “Open spacedesk to handle USB (spacedesk)” when I connected my android tablet to my Windows laptop via USB cable. When I connect the android viewer app to the Windows laptop, the android viewer app automatically switches to “extend display” mode trying to connect but it fails as I mentioned before.(USB Cable Driver Android on the Driver Console is ON, USB connection mode on my android device is set to FTP. tried PTP but the same issue)

I’ve also run a diagnosis like you said. This is the debug log file.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fAWvzIFDudwQlfs9d97IHNEowTtQYpdd/view?usp=sharingI’ve checked the Spacedesk reddit, it seems lots of android devices are having the same issue.
Zitat von spacedesk Nicole am 27/05/2025, 03:14 UhrHi @raymond,
the diagnostics is incomplete. Please wait for the spacedesk Driver Console to finish, it should open the generated folder e.g. 2025-03-24-114527-spacedeskRuntimeDiagnostics.
Could you please try again?

Hi there
I’m sorry I sent you the incomplete log, I didn’t know that.
Turns out I have to click „Save All Information“ twice to save the log properly.
And thanks for telling me the example folder name. That helped me ensure I did it right.
I am attaching the log file here as it’s smaller than 512kb

Zitat von spacedesk Nicole am 27/05/2025, 12:19 UhrHi @raymond,
Unfortunately, it did not contain the driver logs that we need to look at. Could you please try again but this time, start the spacedesk Driver Console as Administrator then follow the same steps. The generated folder should also contain files with .ETL file extension. Thank you very much.

does your Windows machine have Smart Connect installed and running?
In another forum post, Spacedesk Android USB connection not working – solutions summarised 2025 ,
uninstalling Smart Connect made the USB cable connection work for them.
Could you please check on your side?
