Can't update
When I try to update Spacedesk (wich was not connecting USB on the iPad) I get this error notification saying that I need to find the earliey version. Problem is that I dont have the msi. file for the earlier version (v1525). I still have the installer for an even earlier version, but not the one I have now. That said, I cant Update and since I tried to force remove the app, I cant open it right now. Where can I download verion v1525 so I can finally update the app?

There is no v1525 installer of the spacedesk Driver Package. To further analyze your issue, please send us the following files:
– run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click “Save all information” and send us the output file
– spacedeskSetup.log file located in C:\Users\Public
– setupapi.dev.log file located in C:\Windows\INF
– open command prompt and run „pnputil -e“ then copy the output to Notepad and save as text.
Please zip all files in one folder then attach it to your next reply. Thank you.

Also, Iwas having trouble connecting the screen via USB for better refresh rate. Even though I use an original and new iphone cable, I simply can not connect the screen via USB. What is the problem? That was the main reason to update (and get this subsequent issue).
CORRECTION: The version the installation wizard is requesting is v2215, not v1525, as previsously stated.

Please try the Install/Uninstall troubleshooter program from this link. If spacedesk is not on the program list, just select “Not Listed” then paste the product code of your spacedesk version below:

Regarding your question about USB connection with the iOS Viewer, please refer to the Documentation in the section CONNECTING A NEW DISPLAY MONITOR OVER THE USB CABLE > Direct USB Cable Connection > iOS USB Cable Connection

I think I may have solved the issue. But it its very strange that you need the specific installer (wich is not available for download as legacy option) to unstall the program.
Still can’t use usb cable even with original apple hardware.

That Windows Installer error is a nightmare! When you ‚force remove‘ an app, it often leaves registry keys behind, making the new installer think the old version is still there but missing its .msi file. For anyone stuck in this loop, Microsoft’s Program Install and Uninstall Troubleshooter (or a tool like Revo Uninstaller) is a lifesaver—it forcefully purges those ghost registry entries without needing the original v1525 installer. Glad you managed to bypass it, but Spacedesk really needs to make legacy .msi files accessible for this exact reason!
