Non-working USB connection on Samsung Tab after One UI 7.0 update

No, Smart Connect is not installed on my Windows PC.

 

BUT! I’ve had a look at the link and tried different usb cables, finally got it working.

It works just like before but with another usb cable.

I’ve been using the same usb cable to connect my laptop and spacedesk for 2+ years and it never had any issues. (same laptop, same cable, same spacedesk)

It just stopped working after the Samsung One UI update.

And now it works fine with another cable.

For some strange reason, my best and most expensive usb c to c cable is not working.

The other cable that works is a c to a cable that I don’t even remember where I got it from.

 

Anyway, I’ve found a fix and it’s all thanks to you.

that’s interesting.
Would you happen to know the version of the USB C to C cable e.g. USB 3.x? Could you please share the specification (model/brand/version/etc.) of this cable?

The one I’d been using for years is a C to C USB 4 cable with fast charging up to 100W. I see “SGO” on the cable so I suppose that’s the brand.

 

The new one that works now is just a random C to A USB cable. I don’t even know when or where I got it.

It’s one of those bundle USB cables that come with stuff like USB lamp, USB mice/keyboard etc.

I haven’t tested it but I’m pretty sure it’s USB 2.0 & 5V2A.

could you please try a different cable, an older or with a lower specification?
