Black Display when using USB 3.0/3.1

Hello, I’m having an issue that started after updating from version 2.1.49 to the 2.2.+ series. I’ve already tested versions 2.2.04, 2.2.05, 2.2.06, and 2.2.08, but the problem remains — the screen stays black and, after some time, a timeout error appears.

I reverted to version 2.1.49, which runs perfectly on my tablet, although it now shows a gray screen with a message indicating that the version is outdated.

It seems the problem only occurs with the newer 2.2 versions, as not even my iPhone 13 can run them properly.

Have you tried setting the “Encoding Type” option in “Quality/Performance” to “Software Encoding MJPEG (forced)”? If this doesn’t solve the issue on your end, please send us the logs of your Primary PC by opening the spacedesk Driver console as administrator and clicking on Diagnostics then follow the steps below:

1. Download the DebugView.
2. Check the Diagnostic Collection box.
3. Reproduce the issue e.g. by connecting the spacedesk Viewer app.
4. Uncheck the Diagnostic Collection box.
5. Click “Save All Information” button (this might take a while to finish).
6. Compress/Zip the folder which contains the logs, then attach to your next reply to this post. If the folder exceeds 512kb, you may upload it to Dropbox or Google Drive then include the download link on your next reply.
