Disruption of pen cursor and pressure sensitivity when using digital art software
Quote from Mike on 13/11/2024, 06:59Hello, I have been using an old Samsung Android tablet with Spacedesk successfully. I had tried both USB connection and Network connection options. I want to use this third Spacedesk screen exclusively for still reference images, so slight lag and other performance issues are not a problem for me.
However, whenever I have a Spacedesk screen connected to my Windows 11 system, my pen cursor on my pen tablet display malfunctions.
- Pressure Sensitivity of the pen cursor is lost. Unplugging the tablet and plugging it back in results in –
- The drawing cursor of my digital pen returns, but the cursor is about two inches below the pen’s physical position. OR
- The cursor disappears completely when hovering over the art software’s canvas.
To be exact, I’m not using the Samsung Android screen running Spacedesk to draw and paint, rather this problem effects my pen tablet’s display’s pressure and coordinate system.
I really like how well this software works otherwise. If there’s anyone out there having read this who could offer some advice, I would much appreciate it.
Hardware: Omen 15 laptop Ryzen 7, 16gb ram/ Windows 11, Gaomon pd1560 pen tablet digital art display.
Software: Spacedesk, Rebelle 7 Pro
Thank you for your time

You can disable pen input recognition coming from the Android tablet by going to the main spacedesk Viewer screen, tapping the floating menu, then selecting “Input Devices” > “Pen” then uncheck “Enable Stylus Screen Control”. Let us know if you need any more assistance.
Thank you.

I have tried a number of things to avoid the problem, such as recalibrating my display monitor, trying different tablet settings in the painting (Rebelle 7) software, and so on.
Thanks again, have a nice day.

Thank you for the log files. Can you try disabling all inputs from the Input Devices menu and also disable Audio under Settings > Audio in the viewer? Thank you.
