MacOs as a Server
Hello spacedesk community,
I have a Mac mini and my wife owns an iPad, which she only uses about 3–4 times per year.
I would like to use her iPad as a second monitor for my Mac.
Apple’s native solution usually requires both devices to be signed in with the same Apple ID, which is not an option for us because my wife needs to keep access to her own photos and iCloud data.
That’s why I’m looking into spacedesk as an alternative to simulate a second monitor.
Before I set this up, I’d like to ask:

Is spacedesk a reliable solution for using an iPad as a second display with macOS?

Are there any known limitations, performance issues, or requirements I should be aware of?

Does this setup work well over Wi-Fi, or is a wired connection recommended?

I understand that at the moment there is no official version to use SpaceDesk in server mode for MacOS
The Beta version has been distributed in other topics
I’ve been looking for it without success
But I have used the Windows version and I can confirm that it works perfectly with my 13-inch iPad Pro
Whether by wifi or via USB cable
It is definitely one of the software pieces that I have used the most in the last 2 years
I hope it works just as well in the beta version of MacOS
