Max USB/TB Bandwidth for Apple iPad?

I recently upgraded my iPad Pro to the latest 2024 version with 40gbps USB/Thunderbolt4 port. I am using a 40gbps rated USB-C cable and connected directly to the 40Gbps USB4 port on my laptop. I was hoping that this would make my spacedesk experience virtually lag free at max resolution max settings. However, it still feel likes my old 2018 iPad Pro experience and it’s still a bit laggy. Is this a SW limitation of the Apple USB driver?
