Screen not turning off when idle

Hey guys, really appreciate the work that’s done on this app it works amazing. I wanted to ask I usually leave my PC lying around with no sleep and after idle usually the screens turn off but the spacedesk screen doesn’t really turn off is this intended? I know it turns off when your PC goes to sleep. Please advise thanks!

Which viewer are you using and what type of connection do you use?

I am using spacedesk driver win 10 64 v2126 and connecting with USB, I’ve attached a picture to show how it looks, strangely enough when I plug it in while the screen is off it is a black screen is something like blocking the connection or something? cause I’m tethering from the tablet aswell unless it’s intended to do this

Hello, I just wanted to share some information. Indeed, spacedesk (2.1.18) does not go into sleep mode; from what I’ve tested, it only happens when connected via USB, not over Wi-Fi. I would appreciate it if you could address this since the tablet I use is OLED and risks screen burn-in if I forget to turn it off. Other than that, everything works very well. I just wanted to ask which type-C cable you recommend for the connection, as I notice a bit of lag when I increase the resolution to 2K. What is the maximum transmission speed that spacedesk supports?

Regarding USB transmission speed, we cannot answer that since we’re not experts on USB, but if you want to get better performance in your viewer, you may check the Documentation under the section “Performance Tuning” here and try to follow the steps there to improve your viewer’s performance.
