spacedesk 2.2.29: Image freezes and black screen when connected via USB
Quote from Marco on 21/08/2026, 15:34Hi everyone, I’ve been experiencing an issue on my Windows PC since updating spacedesk to version 2.2.29.
When I connect my Android tablet via USB, the image freezes after a few minutes and does not recover. If I then switch the Driver Console control to “OFF,” the program gets stuck and is unable to complete the operation. After waiting several minutes with no response, I have to force-close it through Task Manager.
The image-freezing issue now occurs every time. Sometimes, even after restarting the program, no image appears on my tablet at all and the screen remains black. I have tried unplugging and reconnecting the USB cable, but the issue persists.
I would also like to point out that this problem never occurred before updating the Windows PC version to 2.2.29.
Is there any way to fix it? Thanks!

For further analysis of the issue, please send us the logs of your Primary PC by opening the spacedesk Driver console as administrator and clicking on Diagnostics then follow the steps below:
1. Download the DebugView.
2. Check the Diagnostic Collection box.
3. Reproduce the issue e.g. by connecting the spacedesk Viewer app.
4. Uncheck the Diagnostic Collection box.
5. Click “Save All Information” button (this might take a while to finish).
6. Compress/Zip the folder which contains the logs, then attach to your next reply to this post. If the folder exceeds 512kb, you may upload it to Dropbox or Google Drive then include the download link on your next reply.Thank you.
