Spacedesk perpetually turning on; Server "switching"
Quote from Joey on 20/08/2026, 02:20Hi, I’ve just installed and started using Spacedesk. It was working well for a while, then I would encounter a low bandwidth alert on my secondary machine (iPad Pro 1st gen). Primary machine is a Windows 11 PC. If I try to toggle the “ON” and “OFF” on my primary machine, it is stuck turning on. Restarting the app and restarting either device has no effect on this problem. I reinstalled Spacedesk once and it resolved for a little bit until I started getting shaky wifi.
This is on my work computer and I am using a VPN. It seemed to be working well with the VPN before.
I can upload logs if someone can advise how to download logs from the Windows 11 app.

Diagnostic Logs reply
For further analysis of the issue, please send us the logs of your Primary PC by opening the spacedesk Driver console as administrator and clicking on Diagnostics then follow the steps below:
1. Download the DebugView.
2. Check the Diagnostic Collection box.
3. Reproduce the issue e.g. by connecting the spacedesk Viewer app.
4. Uncheck the Diagnostic Collection box.
5. Click “Save All Information” button (this might take a while to finish).
6. Compress/Zip the folder which contains the logs, then attach to your next reply to this post. If the folder exceeds 512kb, you may upload it to Dropbox or Google Drive then include the download link on your next reply.Thank you.

I realize the download steps are right there in the diagnostics section.
A big section is missing from the middle of the attached log because I accidentally let it run for 3 hours, then deleted a big chunk in the middle so I wasn’t left with a 15MB .txt file. Everything I deleted was redundant.
I look forward to a response – the software was really great when it was working!

Thank you for sending your logs. Upon checking your logs specifically in the Debugview.log file, we cannot see any spacedesk logs. Can you try gathering your logs again? Just follow the steps I provided previously.
Also, can you try the following below:
1. Change your Wi-Fi’s network profile from Public to Private. You can do this by going to Settings > Network & internet, Wi-Fi, <your access point’s name>, then change the network profile type.
2. Turn off your VPN to see if the network instability is still an issue without the VPN.Thank you.
