Hardware encoding completly broken in ipad

Hi @jen,

No worries, thank you. You can check the resolution of the viewer in the Windows Display settings to set the proper resolution. You can also change the scale of the screen in Windows Display Settings so objects in the screen appear larger even at higher resolutions.

I had to set the scaling to 250% but it’s now „normal“. Windows did have the correct resolution.

Hi @k,

Thank you. It works well when it’s changed to MJPEG (forced) and the resolution stays the same.

Hi @omar,

This issue has been reproduced on our end and a fix will be included in the next update. For now, you can either set a lower resolution on your viewer via the Settings > Resolution. You can also set the Encoding Type to Software Encoding MJPEG (forced). Thank you.

Just to add to this thread (rather than create my own)…. a few days ago I updated my Samsung tablet to the latest release, and also installed the latest Windows updates.

Previously, Spacedesk was working flawlessly. Following the updates, I saw nothing but a blank screen in either USB or wifi modes.

On reading the above post about the problem on OP’s iPad, I went into the viewer and selected Software Encoding MJPEG (forced)…. problem solved (for me).

adjusting the Windows scaling really helps when the resolution makes everything unreadable. That tip saved me a ton of frustration.

Hopefully the upcoming patch will unify this so we don’t need workarounds anymore, but props to the spacedesk team for being quick to acknowledge and guide people through it.

Hello , I post somethhing but how I know if was responded?
